So I've recently started watching Kill la Kill...
... and I have no idea what to think of it.
I could figure out it was by the same people that made Gurren Lagann without even looking it up. That's how recognizable their work is.
All I can say it that I love the plot (just finished Ep20), the OST and the openings. The animation is done splendidly for a company that doesn't have a lot of cash. It has all the plot twists in there that are (largely) unexpected, and character development is done splendidly.
You also forget about the fan service after a couple o' episodes
Personally I think the only thing keeping some people away is the heavy fan service, but as I said, you forget about it after a couple of episodes.
And now on to the question
What are your thoughts on Kill la Kill? Have you started watching it already? Are you excited for the final episode next week?

Lost interest because of fan service. Discovered the existence of fan service after watching Infinite Stratos which I wish I could forget. Ahh well. To each their own. Story was really interesting, though.

The thing is, you forget all about the fan service after watching a few episodes (except if you focus on forgetting about it, obviously). Atleast, that's what happened to me.

I watched about 7 episodes. Kind of difficult to ignore it when the perverted father of Mako keeps stalking Ryuko when she changes and such.

The plot train will start moving at Ep12. In fact, it will go so fast that it almost flies of the tracks, but it'll hold on and still unfold to be a clever story.
A similar thing happened to Gurren Lagann after Ep13, where the plot skyrockets and moves at an incredible pace.

I haven't seen the last 2 episodes, including ending, but I really like it, the fan service.. theres alot xD,
I agree with you about this anime, its pretty good, some people doesn't like it to much..
(such as Soup rice)
And it surely has clichés...

Heh, I can't remember if it was Shin or one of my other friends that nicknamed it "Cliché La Kill"...
I seriously need to watch more anime, all my friends think I'm more of an otaku than I actually am. Kill la Kill might be worth a shot.

Well, I guess that you'll catch on the anime, yeah its full of clichés but still good, good fight scenes, good soundtracks and alot of fanservice.
And Soup rice was the one that started saying the Cliché la kill thing
