[WITHDRAWN] Wimali's Group Moderator Application
(I'd recommend to read this application as a Google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ketAPDqCITQu-qLA4p5K5Ru03f3MouT70TANaObjdXk/edit. It's the exact same application, but I'd say it reads better.)
General Information
Are you able to perform all 5 of the core responsibilities listed above? If no, please mention which ones you cannot perform.
I am able to perform every one of these. However, I assume I’d most likely require some teaching and an explanation, before being able to host chat giveaways. The forums definitely won’t be a problem (I love forums!) and I think I should handle all other listed responsibilities.
Steam Username: [CGC] Wimali (I might change it to [CGC] Wimali_Stebox, but not too sure about that. It’ll probably stay like this for a while. However, I tend to change usernames every 5 years or so, but you shouldn’t worry about that.
Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/id/wimalistebox/
Age: 14. I feel like having this age gives me the advantage of having a lot of free time, but perhaps the difference isn't extremely big.
Time zone: GMT+1. I haven’t seen a lot of moderators around this timezone (mostly because I’ve mostly been online when it was night in my area) so I feel like having an extra moderator around the GMT timezone would be good to have. This is actually one of the main reasons behind my application.
Available hours on a daily basis: During the weekdays, I’ll be in the chat and on the forums from around 4 PM until 11 PM, probably. During that time I’ll probably leave a few times to eat dinner, do the dishes, shower, etc. On wednesday and weekends, I should be able to chat and check the forums from around 1 PM until 11 PM. However, I’ll often stay up longer during weekends or holidays.
Previous experiences
List and describe your previous experiences as a mod/admin of an online community:
I’ve been operator on a Minecraft server. If you’re familiar with Minecraft, I know what you’re thinking. But this community was actually pretty mature. It was the kind of small, everyone knows each other kind of community. I was staff for about three months, and learned a lot during that time. I know how to handle trolls, assholes, jerks, beggers, and anything else that’s thrown at me.
Questions
Do you prefer working independently with minimum instructions or do you prefer supervised work with instructions?
Both are fine! Honestly, as long as you tell me what I’m supposed to do, and it’s something I’m willing to do/have the time for, I’m okay with it. I have no problem with doing things alone, but do enjoy working with other people. I don’t really care.
Why do you want to apply for this position?
I feel like I’m needed. Well, not me in particular, but this community requires more staff. There was a giveaway earlier (with, of course, 120+ people) and the only staff member online, besides Sekai, was Mizuki. I also want to help out the group as much as possible, because I feel like the work you guys do is underappreciated. I’d like to do that not only by being active in the chat and the forums, but also in some other ways, which I’ll talk about more in the question after the next one.
What do you plan to accomplish as a group moderator?
I’d like to be just another group moderator- But still slighty different. I’d prefer to be a quiet one, with the #1 priority being: Keep the chat clean. During giveaways I’d strictly enforce the rules, but would probably use the “first offense kick, second offense ban”-policy , depending on what the member is doing wrong, of course. (EDIT: After thinking about this for a while and analyzing the chat, I've decided to instantly ban anyone who misbehaves during giveaways, but apply the first kick, second ban policy when there isn't a giveaway.) Before and after giveaways, when the chat isn’t extremely chaotic, and on the forums, I’d probably be a lot more chatty. I realize I often sound unfriendly, but I try to help as much as possible, if I’m able to.
What would you like to change about our community, if anything?
I personally feel like there should be way more unannounced giveaways, as a reward for regulars. I also think the amount of chat giveaways should get reduced, or even removed completely. The reason for this is because I feel like the people who only join for giveaways are often rule-breakers, or don’t even want to put any effort into “earning” a free game (e.g. by registering a forum account and actively participating in it, or checking every so often for a giveaway). Sure, a chat giveaway brings some life to the chat, but I’d say the cons outweigh the pro’s.
Another thing I’d like to do, if this doesn’t exist already, is to create a better kick/ban system. A point system, or something like that. For example, spamming gets you three points, insulting/offending other people gets you ten points, linking porn gets you five, using emoticon’s incorrectly gets you two, etc. and at five points, you’re banned for a month, which would only be appealable after three days. Seven points would get you banned for forever, but still have it be appealable, while ten points would be a permanent, unappealable ban. However, moderators would still be able to give points according to their own judgement of course, which feels like an important thing to me. There could be a google sheet with a list of warnings and bans.
Anyway, that’s just one the things I’d like to give a try, but I’m not sure if anyone here supports it. I feel like a google sheet with warnings & bans should get added anyway, whether my “points” system gets implemented or not.
tl;dr I'd like to change a few things, as I feel like nothing is ever perfect, and the community can always improve.
Additional Information
How often do you participate in our group events/giveaways?
If there’s a giveaway or group event and I’m available, I’ll join it. So whenever an announcement pops up, I’ll go in the group chat (If I’m not there already) and participate.
Any additional information that you want to add to support your application (e.g referrals from current forum members)
I don’t have any referrals at the moment.

Re: [WITHDRAWN] Wimali's Group Moderator Application
As of today(?) it seems like one of the requirements is to be 15 years of age, which I am not. For this reason, I'm withdrawing my application.
